The feel / texture

This exfoliating serum has a smooth silky texture. It doesn’t feel too thin or acidic. It doesn’t burn the skin after applying, despite being an AHA.

How to use

Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid(AHA) that sloughs off dead skin when applied. Like many chemical exfoliants, it is best used at night. After cleansing, apply a few drops of The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA to dry skin. Let it rest for a minute or two then follow up with a hydrating essence, moisturiser or the next step in your routine.

Results

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA makes your skin feel smoother the next morning. The effects are pretty much immediate. It also reveals a healthy glow. If you have sensitive skin, this product may be too strong for you. I’d recommend starting with The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA or trying out Mandelic acid instead.
